It has been reported that the shops of local Muslims, located at Okkan bazaar and surround a mosque, were severely damaged by a mob. Okkan is a small town in Yangon region. Some sources say a total of 5 shops were attacked and by the time the mob started attacking, police were also present and could not control the situation.
The attack put local Muslims into fear. Once the situation becomes worse, no contact can be reached to Okkan via telephone.
